The two are always flying on brooms, having fun with wands, and throwing pine cones at the squirrels. Kathrine raised Rene in a magical community near Normandy, France. Just recently did they move to Paris. When time came for Ray to go to school, his mom gave him a wand, and his brother gave him all the books, robes, and anything else that might mbe useful. Now Rene get's to experience the great school, Beuxbatons.
