| The sun was beating down on the Château de Versailles on a hot summer day. Although her parents always disapproved of her admiration of muggles Gisele frequently snuck out during the summer to visit historical sites like these. It was as if she could step back into the time of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette when she walked through the hall of mirrors. Sure, they weren't the brightest of the French monarchs, but they knew how to live in style.
She had always found the gardens at Versailles relaxing despite the many many tourists that passed by. Luckily, her many trips here as a child helped her find some quiet spots. Gisele found her usual tree next to a patch of colorful flowers and hidden in a corner away from the crowds and sat down, smoothing her sun dress as she lowered herself. She pulled out a copy of "Le Rouge et Le Noir", her favorite novel and immersed herself in her bookish hobbies.
After reading in the sun for hours Gisele drifted off into an easy slumber, the forgotten book still in her hand even as she slept. |
